Doctor Who'nun 50. yıl özel bölümüdür. Steven Moffat tarafından yazılmıştır.Faith Penhale ise yapımcılığı üstlenmiştir. 23 Kasım 2013 tarihinde BBC One kanalının 2D ve 3D versiyonunda gösterilmiştir. Birçok ülkede eş zamanlı olarak yayınlanmıştır.Ayrıca İngiltere genelinde sinemalarda aynı anda 3D olarak gösterilmiştir. Daha önce Onuncu Doktor ve Rose Tyler'ı oynayan David Tennant ve Billie Piper bu bölümde oynamıştır. John Hurt Doktor'un önceki bilinmeyen rejerasyonunu canlandırmıştır.Ayrıca bu bölümde klasik serinin Terror of the Zygons (1975) adlı bölümünde olan uzaylı Zygonlar ile Dalekler geri dönmüştür.Doktor'un Zaman Lordlarını ve Dalekler'i tamamıyla yok ettiği bilinen Son Büyük Zaman Savaşı'na dönüşü anlatılmaktadır.
