High Anxiety

"Yükseklik Korkusu" gerilim filmlerinin, özellikle de Alfred Hitchcock'un 1958'de çektiği Ölüm Korkusu (Vertigo)'nun bir parodisidir. Sapık, Notorious ve Kuşlar başta olmak üzere Hitchcock'un diğer filmlerine de göndermeler yapılır. Bir bakıma "Yükseklik Korkusu" Mel Brooks'un Alfred Hitchcock'a bir saygı gösterisidir. Filmin sloganlarından biri şöyledir:"Komedinin üstâdı bu kez gerilimin üstâdını ele alıyor"
